For once you were darkness, but now in the Lord you are light. Live as children of light.--Ephesians 5:8
There are times when it seems as if you are all alone and surrounded by darkness. The darkness of depression can make these times very difficult, disheartening, and sometimes destructive. As a Senior Pastor, I have come to understand and realize that God's calling is what really matters. As a matter of fact, it supersedes all else! God is more concerned about our salvation in Christ than He is our circumstances of comfort. Our life in Christ is a call that requires forgiveness, faith, and fortitude. In answering Gods' call, we sometimes fall short of the excellency of His power. When we fall short, we press on by forgiving ourselves and others. It is through God's forgiveness that we are called out of darkness into His marvelous light. In Christ, we have been called from the darkness of despair into the Light of Love. God has promised never to leave or forsake so we are never alone! Now that we are Children of the Light, let us walk in that light by living in a way that glorifies God. Be encouraged and walk in the Light! Decree and Declare Lord, I thank You for calling me from darkness to Light! I am not alone and living in the Light of Your Love is a call to excellence. In Jesus' Name I pray! Amen! Dr. Larry T. Walthour Be sure to share your faith and pass it on!
